More and more I have the thought that I have to live with less things, but I love maximalism in homes, for example. Objects are a way of expressing ourselves that begins between childhood and adolescence because it is the only thing we can ask for or buy. Objects are part of our personality. It is true that buying makes me go from being sad to being happy for a short moment, but objects do not fill the void that I am trying to fill. I am 24 years old, I live with my parents, I am finishing my degree, I have more doubts than certainties, the only thing I have is money from my job to give myself some treats. So it seems that I always buy things, it is the only thing I can do. In order not to try to waste money, I try to separate my finances: savings for long-term goals, savings for necessary short-term purchases, monthly or daily expenses, a part to spend with my partner or friends and a small part to give myself a gift: like books, a painting, a t-shirt that I really like, etc.

I absolutely like this comment and agree with everything you said I’m jobeless and it’s very hard for me to save money and I find myself saving for many days months then I buy things and I make impulsive purchases one of my 2025 goals is to save money and spend it wisely

Thankyou for this, it’s soooo hard! Have you felt any better since giving up tik tok and instagram? I think they’re such a big part of it. The answer is definitely to be grateful for what you have and clock off your phone and spend some time in front of the mirror experimenting and playing around with what you have. The feeling you want is self love. When we buy we feel like we’re loving on ourselves because we associate little gifts with love. But self care is enjoying and utilising what we have ❤️

But self care is enjoying and utilising what we have " and it's so true because everytime i buy something i feel good and happy we need to enjoy what we already have 🤍

Loved this post! 🩷 I'm not a lip oil girl, but I admit that I always want to buy new lip balms whenever I see one! 🙃 The only tip I have is, I usually think "do I really want this and I'll use this or I'm just buying for buying?", then based on my answers, I make a decision (most of the time, I end up not buying anything!

AGREE tiktok is the main problem I mean I mm so influenced and when I think again YouTube is not like this it’s a peaceful place where you just watch vlogs and enjoy the video but tiktok , Pinterest and Instagram you feel the urge to buy what influence already own and what they recommend
