I’ve loved perfume since I was a little girl. Just spraying it on made me feel happy, confident, and ready to start the day. I remember back in 2021, I searched for an article about summer perfumes and found one listing different scents to try.

Later I came across Fragrantica for the first time, a whole website about perfumes!

I had never seen anything like it. I started reading about different fragrance notes like praline, blackcurrant, and freesia . I was so amazed. I looked up perfumes I already owned and started learning what notes they had. It was so fun and made me genuinely happy.

It quickly became a hobby. I’d read reviews, write my own, and even get little balloons from people who liked them. It felt like the old days of the internet, with forums and friendly communities and I loved that vibe. That’s how my passion for perfume really started.

Over time, I began to understand my personal preferences. I realized I don’t enjoy strong, heavy scents.

I prefer lighter, softer ones. I learned which notes I truly love: heliotrope, freesia, raspberry, coconut milk, and praline. Now I don’t just buy perfume because it’s trending on TikTok or Instagram. I always research the notes, read reviews, and make sure it fits me.

Perfume for me, is personal. I want the scent I wear to reflect who I am, what I love, how I feel, and the softness or energy I carry. One day, I even dream of creating my own fragrance, built entirely around my favorite notes.

My advice is actually very simple: try perfumes before you buy them.
